First Foldable Smartphone Launched in China: Video Specification Price

Rouyu Technology, a Chinese company has launched world’s first flexible smartphone that can be folded from the middle from 0 to 180 degrees without disturbing the contents display.

Named FlexPai, it will be one of the world’s first smartphones device to be powered by the yet to be launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 processor which is also well-known as Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 clocked in this device at 2.8GHz with Adreno 640 GPU that powers the graphics based on the 7nm process with a new AI platform and 5G support.

Specification and Features

FlexPai has 7.8-inch AMOLED display with a 1920 x 1440 resolution pixel density of  308 PPI and aspect ratio of 4:3, which can change its display to 4-inc when get folded. It comes with 6GB/8GB RAM paired with 128GB/256GB/512GB of internal storage and runs on Water OS, which might be a forked version of Android or a custom operating system.

It has one dual camera setup equipped with 16MP primary wide-angle sensor paired with a 20MP secondary telephoto sensor which can be used to take both normal photos and selfies. It can also be used as a selfie camera when folded and when unfolded, rear camera also works.

It also has support for dual SIM (nano only), storage expansion (256GB max), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Supported LTE bands are 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 12, 34, 38, 39, 40, and 41. There is a USB-C port for charging and audio as it doesn’t have 3.5mm headphone. It is packed with a 3,800mAh battery that uses its own Ro-Charge fast charging technology to get charged from 0 to 80 percent within an hour.

The price of FlexPai smartphone starts at Chinese Yen 9,000 which approximately Rs. 95,300 in Indian currency and company has claimed that Flexpai has been tested withstand more than 200,000 times open-and-shut movements that can offer normal users years of use before display or pictures get damaged due to folding and unfolding unlimited times.
